Job summary

Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking a Sevier County School Based Mental Health Liaison to deliver direct mental health services in the school system, provide counseling to students and families, and collaborate with teachers and staff. The role includes developing IEPs, training staff, and coordinating with families to support positive outcomes.

The position requires a Master’s Degree in a human services field and two years of relevant experience, with licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a human services field such as counselor or social work.
• Two years of experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems, or two years of experience with adolescent substance use/abuse prevention.
• Experience leading groups and trainings.
• Course work in cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, trauma, suicide and learning disorders.
• Licensed or licensed eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct mental health services in the Sevier County school system.
• Conduct individual, family, and group counseling.
• Provide advocacy, linkage, and referral services as needed.
• Assist in the development of IEPs and attend related meetings.
• Maintain HRMC/CARF documentation standards and complete documentation timely.
• Meet productivity standards and maintain an active caseload of individual therapy clients.
