CCI Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant I for the School Based Wellness Center in Gaithersburg, MD. The role involves clinical and administrative tasks under physician supervision, including phlebotomy, vitals, and EMR data entry.

The ideal candidate will have an MA certificate, BLS/CPR, and strong communication skills in a bilingual environment (English/Spanish preferred). This is a regular full-time on-site position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School graduate, or equivalent.
• Must have current MA Certificate from an accredited school.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1 year experience is preferred; not required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Responsabilités

• Reviewing patient eligibility for Care for Kids, Vaccine for Kids and Montgomery Cares; track scheduling and enter into NextGen.
• Provide documentation for release from class/extracurricular activities to obtain care.
• Sanitize and stock rooms to ensure cleanliness after every patient.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens.
• Prepare patients for examination and perform routine screening tests.
• Assisting with referrals and with clinical procedures under supervision.
• Handle administrative duties related to patient care and billing.
