Job summary

CCI Health Services in Gaithersburg, MD is hiring a Medical Assistant I to perform clinical and administrative tasks for pediatric, adult, and program patients under physician supervision.

The role requires MA certification, BLS/CPR, and may involve EMR duties, patient education, and coordination of care within a School Based Wellness Center. This is a full-time position with focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have current MA Certificate from an accredited school.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1 year experience preferred; not required.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient eligibility for Care for Kids, Vaccine for Kids and Montgomery Cares programs and schedule in Nextgen.
• Schedule and document patient visits and coordinate with guardians.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
• Phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens.
• Assist with referrals and education to patients about care.
