Job summary

Clover Park School District's Evergreen Elementary-JBLM in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to students under the direction of the building principal and district nurse.

The LPN will administer medications, monitor health status, maintain health records, coordinate with paraeducators and families, and respond to medical emergencies during school hours (8:00am–3:30pm).

Qualifications

• Washington State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse.
• First Aid and CPR Card.
• Previous experience working with school-age children.

Responsibilities

• Accompanies technology dependent students to and from school when medical status is at risk for life threatening event.
• Performs standard health care procedures; tests and records vision, weight, hearing, scoliosis, and immunization status.
• Provides health and nutrition education to children and parents in coordination with other staff.
• Administers first aid, CPT, and emergency care to students who are sick or injured; maintains daily log of medicines.
• Maintains student health records and coordinates District and community services for students with staff and administrators.
• Attends training related to students medical treatment needs.
• Performs other essential functions, as requested.
