vTech Solution is seeking an Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care in a school setting at Chambers Prairie Elementary in Lacey, WA. The role includes carrying out nursing orders, collecting health data, and ensuring student health and safety on campus during school hours.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the school team, follow health protocols, and remain on campus during student hours and breaks.

Qualifications

Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN) will provide appropriate nursing care and support within a school setting, specifically at Chambers Prairie Elementary. This role involves carrying out nursing orders, gathering and reporting data, performing therapeutic procedures, and ensuring student health and safety. The LPN must work collaboratively with the school team and maintain a presence on campus during student hours without leaving for breaks.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health room assistance to students as directed by an RN or school health protocols.
• Gather and report health data and observations related to student well-being.
• Perform therapeutic procedures and administer treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor student health conditions and respond to emergencies appropriately.
• Maintain accurate health records and document nursing activities.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health needs.
• Remain on campus during working hours and breaks while students are present.

Required Skills & Certifications

• Current WA single state LPN license or compact LPN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in nursing care, preferably in pediatric or school health settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform nursing duties independently and follow protocols.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Experience working with children or in educational environments.
• Knowledge of school health policies and procedures.

Special Considerations

• Must remain on campus during breaks while students are present; no leaving campus allowed during student hours.
• Position requires working within a school environment and adhering to school schedules and safety policies.

Scheduling

• Monday through Friday, 8:10 AM to 3:10 PM, 7 hours per day, totaling 35 billable hours per week.
