Qualifications

• Current, active LPN/LVN license.
• One year nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, community health, or public health setting.
• Knowledge of community health resources.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student health concerns and provide medications and treatments as delegated or ordered.
• Provide first aid and care for illness or injury.
• Support students with chronic health needs.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families and school staff.
• Work closely with the school nurse to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Promote health education, disease prevention, and student well-being.
