Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School LPN/LVN to provide nursing support in a school setting in Spanaway, Washington. This contract–full-time role involves administering medications, monitoring student health, and collaborating with the school nurse to maintain a safe, healthy learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN/LVN license, has experience with children, and understands public health resources. CPR and health documentation are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN/LVN license.
• One year nursing experience, preferably in schools or pediatric/public health.
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Knowledge of community health resources and public health services.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Location: Spanaway, WA

The School LPN/LVN provides nursing support to students in the school setting in accordance with state nursing regulations and scope of practice requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring student health concerns, administering medications and treatments as delegated or ordered, providing first aid and care for illness or injury, and supporting students with chronic health needs. The School LPN/LVN maintains accurate health records, communicates with families and school staff regarding student health needs, and works closely with the school nurse to help ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. The position also promotes health education, disease prevention, and student well-being while following district policies and state education requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Current, active LPN/LVN license
• One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, community health, or public health setting, preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Knowledge of community health resources and public health services.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
