Job summary

The Learning Lamp is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work in local school districts on a part-time basis. You will provide medical care to ill and injured students, maintain records, and coordinate with school staff while upholding confidentiality and district policies.

Hours align with the school schedule; benefits include time off, growth opportunities, and retirement options. Training and compliance requirements will be completed during onboarding.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Knowledgeable in communicable diseases and symptoms of illness.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different school settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to ill and injured students according to standing orders.
• Keep record of all services provided to students in computer charging software.
• Fill out injury/accident reports when applicable on students injured.
• Order medical supplies for the nurse’s office as needed.
• Coordinate student medical orders with home school nurse and teachers per confidentiality rules.
• Participate in staff development and meetings as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
