Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support students in the school setting. The part-time schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., with hourly pay ranging from $30 to $35.

You will identify and monitor students with chronic conditions, provide basic nursing care, perform health assessments, and document services per care plans. Maxim offers competitive pay, health benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Current LPN/LVn licensure in the state of practice.
Valid Health Certificate per facility.
Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
Current BLS card.
One year LVN/LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Identifies, monitors, and manages students with chronic disease and disabilities, documenting services.
Provides emergency crisis nursing care for ill or injured students and staff.
Maintains communicable disease prevention and control through education, policy and enforcement.
Conducts physical healthcare assessments and screenings (temperature, vision, hearing, dental, scoliosis, nutrition).
Provides counseling and guidance to students, parents and staff on health-related attendance.
Maintains health-related reports, monthly and emergency reports, ensuring policy compliance.
Provides health education on growth, development, home nursing, and first aid.
