Job summary

The Freer Independent School District seeks a Part-Time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to support student social, emotional, behavioral and academic development within the school setting. The LPC provides individual and group counseling, conducts assessments, crisis intervention, and collaborates with teachers, parents/guardians, administrators and community resources.

Qualifications

• Current Texas LPC license issued by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council.
• Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Knowledge of counseling practices, ethics, and applicable laws.
• Ability to work with students, families, staff and community agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Conduct counseling assessments and set goals.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians and staff.
• Maintain accurate confidential counseling records.
