Job summary

The Austin Centers for Exceptional Students in Westminster is seeking a Part-Time Licensed School Counselor (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) to support K-12 students with emotional/behavioral needs in a state-certified program. This role offers a flexible 20–25 hours/week, three days onsite, with a collaborative educational setting.

The counselor will provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and collaborate with teachers, families, and community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred in Social Work or Counseling.
• Must hold State Counselor License (LPC, LPC-Candidate, LCSW, LMSW, LAC).
• 1 year experience as a counselor or social worker in a school setting.
• Must hold School Counselor Endorsement or SSP Certificate or TEE Certificate

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor intervention strategies to increase academic success.
• Assist with conflict resolution and anger management.
• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Work with parents to facilitate support for academic and behavioral improvements.
• Attend IEP meetings as needed
