Job summary

New Story Schools in Arkansas seeks a Licensed Social Worker to provide counseling, case management, and crisis support for students ages 5-21, partnering with families and school teams to address behavioral, academic, personal and social challenges.

You will document services, support intake and goal setting, coordinate transitions, and apply de-escalation techniques in a structured, supportive environment. Valid LSW licensure and experience with youth are required.

Qualifications

• Active LSW credential and valid licensure.
• Experience counseling children or adolescents.
• Knowledge of education regulations and mental health services.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete required training and keep licensure current.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention.
• Support student intake, goal setting, progress reviews, transition and discharge planning.
• Maintain documentation of counseling services and required reports.
• Collaborate with education and clinical teams on attendance, behavior and transitions.
• Respond to behavioral and mental health needs with de-escalation and safety procedures.
