Job summary

Wright Directions Family Services (WDFS) in Barnwell, SC is seeking a Master’s-level Licensed Counselor to join our school-based behavioral health team. This role focuses on providing early intervention, therapeutic support, and advocacy within schools and communities.

We offer flexible scheduling, opportunities to work in-school, hybrid, remote, or community settings, plus Relias CE credits and Trauma-Focused CBT certification support in a collaborative clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in a related counseling field
• Licensed or provisionally licensed in South Carolina
• Minimum of one year of experience with the target population
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions to youth and families
• Monitor progress and effectiveness of care plans
• Develop coping skills for youth and families
• Provide crisis intervention and intensive case management as needed
• Coordinate referrals including substance abuse services
• Maintain timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
