Qualifikationen

• Masters Degree or equivalent experience in counseling, psychology, or human services.
• Five years experience in the human services field including provision of services to school age youth; familiarity with the SAP process and experience with schools preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct ATOD services in the form of small group discussions, in-class demonstrations, at-risk services, or other activities assigned by the Intervention/SAP Services Manager.
• Assist teachers, administrators and other school personnel within assigned districts in implementing, supporting, and following up of the program; include meetings with educators and curriculum planning.
• Assist school personnel in emergency situations and act to protect health, safety, and welfare of students until school personnel are available.
• Work with school personnel in handling situations where a child is in danger of harming themselves or others; follow established procedures.
• Assist in design of activities or lessons for small group or in-class activities essential for the program.
• Attend staff meetings and provide input to program strategies.
• Participate in designing and presenting workshops to schools or professionals.
• Assist in collecting and tabulating program and training evaluation materials and related documents.
• Develop and provide prevention information to parent groups and community coalitions; may require hours beyond the normal work day.
• Maintain program reporting and billing data; generate internal and district reports.
• Maintain departmental records of services provided to school populations.
• Keep current with changes in drug and alcohol prevention field via readings, workshops, and professional interaction.
• Pursue and maintain professional credentials through trainings and staff development events.
• Responsible for use and maintenance of AV materials and other program resources.
• Attend meetings and trainings as assigned by Executive Director or Department Manager.
