Job summary

Harris County Resources for Children and Adults is seeking a School-Based Crisis Intervention Specialist to support at‑risk youth and families. You will provide crisis counseling, short‑term case management, assessments, care planning, and service coordination within collaboration with area school districts and governmental partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or closely related field.
• Minimum of one year paid experience providing crisis counseling and case management for youth and families.
• Experience using computer software including Outlook, Word, Excel and case management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis counseling and case management to at‑risk youth and families.
• Assist with safety planning and short‑term problem solving.
• Conduct screenings/assessments and develop short‑term care plans with stakeholders.
• Coordinate services across multiple systems and maintain confidential documentation.
• Engage with schools and community resources; support after traumatic events.
