Qualifications

• Experience providing counseling in a school setting.
• Familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
• Knowledge of PBIS, Responsive Classroom, or Montessori educational principles.
• Coordinating with community resources and delivering wraparound services for students and families.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Appropriate certification or licensure for school counseling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct counseling services to students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional well-being.
• Implement and model evidence-based interventions, including CBT strategies and school-wide behavioral supports.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student support plans.
• Foster a safe and inclusive school climate, encouraging positive interactions and resilience.
• Facilitate referrals to outside agencies and coordinate with community partners to provide students with comprehensive wraparound support.
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and student engagement.
