Job summary

New Braunfels ISD is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Special Education at the Administration Center in New Braunfels, TX. Qualifications include an OTA credential and Texas licensure. Experience with pediatric or school-based therapy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential.
• Licensed by the State of Texas as an OTA.
• Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage student behavior and collaborate across settings.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising OT.
• Deliver safe, effective therapy interventions and monitor progress.
• Maintain documentation of student progress and outcomes.
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings to support goal development.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and families to support student success.
• Provide staff and parent training on OT strategies and equipment.
