Job summary

Soliant Health in Grass Valley, CA has a part-time contract opening for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students from November through March. You will work two days per week onsite, collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to advance educational goals.

You will assist the occupational therapist, implement individualized plans, collect progress data, and participate in meetings.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a COTA.
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred.
• Strong communication with educators, therapists, and families.
• Adaptability and creativity in tailoring therapy interventions.
• Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in school activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the occupational therapist in delivering therapy services to students, focusing on their educational and developmental goals.
• Implement individualized treatment plans during therapy sessions.
• Support classroom staff with strategies to reinforce students’ skills throughout the school day.
• Collect data and document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records.
• Participate in meetings to discuss student growth and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
• Encourage a positive, supportive environment that nurtures students’ growth and confidence.
