Job summary

Soliant Health in Somerville, MA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a part-time contract to support K-12 students two days per week, starting as soon as possible through the current school year.

You will provide direct OT interventions under an OTR/L, assist with IEP implementation, document progress, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and adapt classroom materials to meet diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• Active COTA certification required.
• Experience in school-based settings preferred, but not mandatory.
• Ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience or comfort working across diverse age ranges (K-12).
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OTR/L.
• Supporting students in achieving academic and developmental goals.
• Assisting with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records for each student.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings as requested.
• Helping adapt classroom materials and environments to support students' varied needs.
