Job summary

NCTA is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to positively impact students in the school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to impact children's health and well-being while enjoying a great work schedule!

The role involves documenting progress, attending IEP/ETR meetings, and collaborating with school staff and families to provide high-quality therapy. Training and support from a supervising OT are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Ohio.
• Open to accepting the challenge of new assignments.
• Positive, goal-oriented and works well with others.

Responsibilities

• Document, monitor, analyze, and report students’ progress and effects of treatment regularly in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
• Attend and report evaluations findings and therapy recommendations in family friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings.
• Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families.
• Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates.
• Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures
• Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload
• Communicate and collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapist
