Job summary

ACM Staffers is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based OT services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will work directly with students to enhance functional skills for daily school participation.

The ideal candidate will hold an OTA associate degree, NBCOT COTA credential, and valid state licensure, with experience working with children or in schools preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• NBCOT COTA credential (active).
• Current state licensure or authorization to practice as an OTA.
• Experience with children or school settings preferred; new graduates encouraged.
• Knowledge of pediatric OT, special education, and IEP processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans and goals set by the supervising OT.
• Provide individual and small-group OT services to students.
• Monitor student progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and treatment notes.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, families, and other on the educational team.
• Participate in team meetings and share student progress information.
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support student independence.
