Job summary

Polk County Public Schools is seeking a School Based Coach to deliver teacher-to-teacher coaching and targeted professional learning within a Florida school. The role focuses on mathematics, literacy, or science content, applying data-driven coaching to boost classroom practice and student outcomes.

You will model instructional strategies, analyze data with teachers, and support school PD initiatives across the district while working within the approved salary schedule and certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Florida Professional Certificate and full qualification in designated content area.
• 3–5 years of highly effective classroom teaching experience; VAM scores considered.
• Elementary mathematics, literacy, or science coaches must be reading endorsed/certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide teacher-to-teacher coaching, modeling, mentoring and collaboration to improve instructional practices and student achievement.
• Analyze school and classroom data to guide coaching focus and professional development planning.
• Develop and deliver content-area professional learning, focusing on standards, assessment, and instructional strategies.
• Support school leadership teams in professional learning communities and district PD implementation.
• Observe classrooms, provide feedback, and model evidence-based instructional techniques.
