The Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Level 1 (BCBA) will be part of Child & Adolescent Services, focusing on training and supporting front-line staff in ABA program implementation through supervision and development. Caseload expectations differentiate Level 1 from Level 2 BCBA.

This role reports to a Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, or Senior BCBA, depending on location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading by example with punctuality and quality work
  • Reviewing treatment plans with insurance companies
  • Assessing clients and developing/modifying treatment plans
  • Presenting plans for insurance authorization
  • Supervising Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians
  • Providing direct therapy as needed
  • Developing behavior plans and supervising crisis prevention
  • Participating in intakes and ensuring a safe environment
  • Handling billing information accurately and timely
  • Learning insurance coding and billing procedures
  • Maintaining professional relationships with families and staff
  • Demonstrating cultural competency
  • Conducting parent meetings and fulfilling supervision requirements
  • Participating in hiring and providing home program resources
  • Managing caseloads of 7 clients for center-based and 5 for community-based BCBA roles

  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field

Credentialing:

  • BCBA certification
  • Credentialed with insurance and Medicaid payors
  • State licensure if required

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment and treatment
  • Experience in training development and delivery

Skills & Abilities:

  • State licensure credentials if applicable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to sit, use a computer, kneel, bend, reach, and lift 50 pounds
