Job summary

The School Board of Broward County, Florida seeks a Behavioral Technician to support data collection, assist in Functional Behavior Assessments, and help develop behavioral programs within the school environment.

You will train staff, assist in implementing behavior support plans, and monitor student progress, ensuring safety and compliance with district policies. This is an on-site role with district pay scales.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with behaviorally complex children.
• Alternate: associate degree or 60 credits with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect data in the school environment.
• Assist in data gathering for Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Help develop and implement behavioral programs and plans.
• Support staff in implementing behavioral systems.
• Assist in teaching appropriate behavior to students.
• Monitor data and share recommendations for intervention.
• Monitor/supervise students in need of behavioral intervention.
• Ensure compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies.
• Participate in training to enhance skills.
• Review current developments and literature related to job responsibilities.
• Follow safety rules and School Board policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
