Job summary

The Centers seeks a School-Based Behavioral Health Therapist to provide behavioral health services in school and community settings including telehealth where appropriate. The role involves intakes, psychiatric evaluations, individual and family therapy, and collaboration with families and school staff.

Qualified candidates hold a Master's in social work or counseling with licensure in good standing in Ohio and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or counseling with an LSW/LISW or LPC/LPCC in good standing in the state of Ohio
• A valid driver's license in the State of Ohio with access to an insured vehicle. Must not have any 6-point violations and ability to obtain and maintain bodily injury/property coverage of $100,000/$300,000.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school personnel to identify students needing behavioral health services and facilitate the referral process.
• Contact and meet parents/caregivers of children who have been referred for behavioral health services for the purpose of intake, consent to treat, and psychiatric diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide individual counseling, therapeutic behavioral support, parent guidance and family interventions.
• Provide group counseling/therapeutic behavioral support/prevention groups as needed.
• Integrate behavioral health with the client's health needs and refer for appropriate medical, dental, psychiatric and other psychosocial service needs.
• Responsible for the timely completion of clinical documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
• Meet productivity expectations.
• Opportunity to become trained in Early Child Mental Health screenings, assessment/diagnosis, and provision of community-based consultation and/or therapeutic services during summer months with youth (0-5) and their families.
