Job summary

SUN Behavioral Health in Erlanger, KY seeks a School-Based Therapist to deliver behavioral health services to students within a school setting. You will conduct individual, group, and family therapy, collaborating with teachers, families, and community partners to support student success.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT-informed skills, MI) to promote emotional well-being and academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health field (Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy) or related field.
• KY clinical license preferred but not required (CSW, LPCA, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC).
• Experience with children/adolescents and trauma-informed care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to students.
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document clinically.
• Utilize CBT, DBT-informed skills, Motivational Interviewing, and psychoeducation.
• Support students with anxiety, depression, trauma, and school-related stress.
• Collaborate with families and school staff to coordinate care, attend meetings.
