Job summary

Valley Health Services, Children's & Adolescent Office is seeking a School Based Therapist to provide behavioral health services to children and adolescents within school settings. The role involves assessments, individual/family therapy, and collaboration with students, families, and school staff.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with hours aligning to school schedules. Licensure in Ohio (LPC/LPCC or LISW) is required, along with a valid driver's license and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• State licensure: LPC/LPCC or LSW/LISW in Ohio required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license required.
• Experience in school-based or child/adolescent behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy to school-aged students in educational settings.
• Develop and monitor Individual Service Plans based on assessed needs and treatment goals.
• Conduct behavioral health assessments and identify presenting problems, strengths, needs, and appropriate interventions.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate to the student’s age and needs.
• Collaborate with students, families, school personnel, and community providers to coordinate care.
