Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field eligible for mental health licensure.
• LCSW/LMHC-A/LMFT-A license with RI DOH or ability to obtain by time of hire.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in school or mental health settings.
• Strong verbal communication and social relationship skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and use of a car to perform major functions.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team to coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Provides mental health consultation, referral, and care coordination for students.
• Meets with school representatives to identify needs and support options.
• Supports collaboration among districts and community partners to address student needs.
• Conducts suicide risk assessments and contributes to safety plans as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of developmental issues and effective treatment strategies.
• Delivers outpatient individual, family, and group therapy as per treatment plans.
• Documents assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharges on schedule.
• Participates in MTSS referrals to coordinate student supports.
• Promotes parent engagement in addressing social and emotional needs.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical standards.
