Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a School-Based Clinical Therapist to provide care coordination and outpatient individual therapy for students within the school setting. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field eligible for mental health licensure.
• Associate-level mental health license (LCSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A) with RI Department of Health or ability to obtain by time of hire.
• At least 2-years of clinical experience working with targeted population or in a school or mental health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides mental health consultation, referral, and care coordination to address student behavioral and/or emotional needs.
• Meets with local school representatives to understand needs and identify ways therapist can assist.
• Fosters collaboration among school districts and community partners by providing information and linkages to resources.
• Provides support and consultation for student threat/risk assessments, including suicide risk assessments.
• Demonstrates understanding of child and adolescent development.
