Job summary

PRO Companies in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a School-Based Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for full-time, Monday–Friday during normal school hours to support K-12 students with behavioral health needs.

You will provide individualized interventions, collaborate with clients, families, school staff, and treatment teams, and respond to crises while maintaining documentation and participating in supervision to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service area is required.
• Minimum one year experience working with children with behavioral challenges.
• Completion of the 40 hour RBT training, 3rd edition task list.
• Current clearances (within 6 months); Safety-Care certification is a plus.
• Previous experience as a Behavioral Health Technician is highly preferred.

What you’ll do as a Behavioral Health Technician.

Provide individualized therapeutic interventions in accordance with treatment plans, collaborate with clients, families, school staff, and treatment teams, respond to crisis situations as needed, support skill development across settings, maintain required documentation, and participate in supervision and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure quality client care.
