Job summary

Rural Health Group seeks two LCSW Behavioral Health Specialists for full-time, year-round positions on an integrated care team. One role is at RHG @ GCP in Gaston, NC, and the other at RHG @ HCC in Weldon, NC.

Responsibilities include school-based interventions, teacher consultation, and brief social-emotional services. The team delivers biopsychosocial care with medical professionals, nutritionists, and case managers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling is required.
• Licensed in North Carolina or license-eligible (LCSW or LCPC) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with diverse children/adolescents and families; integrated care preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage priorities and adapt to changing demands.
• Proficient in basic computer programs and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver brief, solution-focused interventions to children and families.
• Assess development and learning needs of students and groups.
• Provide consultation to parents, teachers, and school staff.
• Assist in planning, developing, and evaluating programs for social-emotional needs.
• Maintain documentation and participate in staff trainings and meetings.
• Travel between schools and outpatient clinics as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support whole-child health.
