RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated Specialist for the Elizabeth, NJ area. The role supports school-based students by coordinating screenings, counseling, and community resources while maintaining data integrity and efficient office operations.

You will engage stakeholders, manage enrollment data, and partner with finance and supply chain to ensure timely procurement and program execution in a fast-paced health system environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• Knowledge of youth development systems, community resource coordination, and office data management.
• Physical ability to stand/walk periodically, sit frequently, type, and lift light materials when needed.
• Adheres to SAFETY standards and communicates with a sensitive, positive tone in all environments.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement & Navigation: act as the primary school-based point of contact to build and maintain partnerships with students, families, school personnel, and community-based resources.
• Screening & Intake Assistance: collaborate with program director and school staff to conduct student screening and coordinate counseling.
• Data Reporting & Optimization: collect, track, and enter critical student enrollment metrics for compliance reporting and program evaluation.
• Community & Milieu Coordination: participate in development and supervision of community engagement initiatives and resource mapping.
• Office Operations & Procurement: manage daily office operations and serve as liaison to Finance and Supply Chain for purchase requests.
