RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Specialist for Mental Health Adult OP at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. The role focuses on coordinating patient appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring timely intake and referrals within a busy behavioral health setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, a preferred bachelor's in mental health, and 2–4 years in managed care. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm with strong communication and EHR skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred in Mental Health.
• 2-4 years' experience in managed care and insurance preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, multitasking and computer skills are essential.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, EMRs, physician order entry and healthcare documentation preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient appointments to support efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate patient information and communicate scheduling details.
• Process referrals and triage based on clinical urgency and program criteria.
• Coordinate intake and initial clinical appointments with access standards.
• Ensure timely placement of urgent and non-urgent patients into intake slots.
