Job summary

Talbert House is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor – Dependent for a school-based program in Cincinnati, OH. You will provide individual and group counseling, assessments, treatment planning, and case management to support students’ emotional, social, and academic needs, under licensed supervision.

Requires current Ohio LSW or LPC license; experience with children and families preferred. This full-time role involves collaboration with teachers and families to promote resilience and school

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, or a related field, per Ohio licensure requirements.
• Current Ohio Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license required; LISW/LPCC eligible where applicable.
• Two to five years of clinical counseling experience preferred.
• Experience with children, adolescents, families, or school-based behavioral health programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment and service plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate interventions.
• Provide case management and coordinate referrals to community resources.
• Maintain active caseload and timely documentation.
• Participate in school-based meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.
