Job summary

OhioGuidestone seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide case management for children and families with mental health and substance use needs. Work may occur via telehealth, outpatient offices, or community settings, under supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating resources, crisis support, and ongoing documentation while collaborating with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years relevant behavioral health experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, and/or weekends.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer literacy and familiarity with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone daily, maintaining ethics.
• Monitor client symptoms and response to treatment; inform treatment team of changes.
• Develop and maintain service relationships with client, family and caregivers.
• Coordinate community resources and act as advocate for the client as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies for coordination and stabilization.
• Facilitate appointments to support overall physical and mental well-being.
• Review evaluations to aid development of individualized treatment plans.
• Attend team/clinical meetings and mandatory trainings.
