Job summary

The Behavioral Health Specialist at OhioGuidestone provides case management to children and families with mental health and substance use diagnoses. Services may be delivered via telehealth, outpatient offices, and community settings under supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Manager.

Responsibilities include coordinating resources, crisis intervention, developing treatment plans, documentation, and collaboration with schools and health partners to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of relevant behavioral health experience.
• Competencies in basic behavioral health skills and recovery concepts.
• Experience with case management and coordinating services across providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to diverse children and families.
• Monitor client symptoms and treatment response and inform the team.
• Coordinate community resources to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide crisis intervention when emergencies arise.
• Maintain confidential documentation and client records per guidelines.
• Attend team meetings and trainings; collaborate with schools and providers.
• Support supervision meetings and engage families in treatment planning.
