Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a dedicated instructional support assistant to help students with behavioral, instructional, vocational and developmental needs. You will work under the supervision of teachers, behavior coaches and social workers to implement behavior plans and maintain accurate records.

You will assist with RTI and IEP processes, respond to crisis situations using Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques, and support daily living activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 60 college credits or Dysart-approved exam completion.
• First Aid/CPR certification required (in person).
• NCI certification required.
• AZ IVP FPCC required.
• Strong computer and records-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with behavioral, instructional, vocational and developmental needs.
• Support teachers with RTI/IEP implementation.
• Monitor and chart student behaviors per behavior plans.
• Assist in crisis situations using Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques as needed.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality and accurate records.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials with staff.
• Attend district professional development as required.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
