Job summary

The Council Bluffs Community School District is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to support the College View Elementary School team. You will implement IEP supports and treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA, assisting with communication, social and daily living skills, and instructional reinforcement for students with significant disabilities.

The role is full-time, 186 days per year, 7.5 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, and a focus on data collection, progress

Qualifications

Required: Registered Behavior Technician Certificate.
Required: one of: two years of college, an associates degree, paraeducator certificate, or NCRC.
Preferred: experience with young people in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
Carries out treatment plans designed by BCBA or similar practitioner.
Assists with communication, social and daily living skills under direction.
Supports instructional reinforcement with students as directed by BCBA and teachers.
Provides direct intervention services to students in cooperation with teachers, physicians, and parents.
Participates in the individual education team and documents progress.
Keeps records of student behavior progress and programs implemented.
Assists in data collection and progress monitoring.
