Job summary

Council Bluffs Community School District is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician for Bloomer Elementary School in Council Bluffs, IA. The role follows IEP supports and BCBA-directed plans to support students with significant disabilities.

The position is 186 days per year, 7.5 hours daily, with a 30-minute lunch. Applicants must hold a RBT certificate and meet one of the education options; experience with students is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Registered Behavior Technician Certificate.
• Required: one of the following education paths: two years of college or an associates degree or paraeducator certificate or NCRC exam.

Responsibilities

• Regular and reliable attendance as scheduled.
• Implement treatment plans designed by BCBA.
• Assist communication, social and daily living skills under BCBA/teacher direction.
• Support instructional reinforcement under BCBA/teacher direction.
• Provide direct intervention services with teachers, physicians, and parents.
• Participate in the individual education team discussions.
• Keep records of student progress and program outcomes.
• Assist in data collection and progress monitoring.
