Job summary

Merakey is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician in State College, PA, where you’ll work one-on-one with autistic and emotionally supportive students. You’ll support their individual education plans and behavioral goals in a nurturing environment.

This role offers a salary of $18.50 per hour, Monday to Friday, with no experience required as paid training is provided. Join us to make a difference in students' lives!

Qualifications

• Availability to work full day, 8:15 am – 3:15 pm, Monday – Friday.
• 3 – 6 months of experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience working with children with autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely ongoing data collection.
• Provide behavioral and physical interventions as needed.
• Monitor client performance and record relevant data.
• Assist clients with daily living activities.
• Collaborate with families for continuity of care.

Skills

Experience with children with autism

Ability to implement behavior plans

Strong communication skills

Education

High school diploma or GED
