Nyman Associates, Inc. is seeking compassionate Behavior Technicians to support students with academic, behavioral, and emotional needs in school settings. You will apply ABA and MTSS strategies, provide SEL support, and collaborate with teachers and specialists to monitor progress and promote growth.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships, patience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging moments while helping students develop essential life and social-emotional skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs preferred.
• Familiarity with ABA, MTSS, social-emotional learning, or trauma-informed practices preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively with school staff.
• Patience, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
• Passion for supporting students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Support students with behavioral and emotional needs, including those with autism, trauma histories, or significant behavioral challenges.
• Implement ABA and MTSS strategies to address behaviors and promote learning.
• Provide social-emotional learning support, often in small groups or one-on-one settings.
• Build rapport and trust with students through consistent engagement, even when behaviors are challenging.
• Support academic and life skills instruction alongside behavioral interventions.
• Prepare and maintain behavioral data sheets to monitor student progress.
