Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Behavior Modification Technician to support students’ social, behavioral, and academic skills under supervision. The role involves implementing behavior management plans, one-on-one and group sessions, and collaboration with teachers, staff, and families to promote a safe and productive school environment.

The position starts immediately, is full-time for 10 months, with data-tracking and policy compliance at the core of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Two years of related college coursework required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Provide one-on-one and group sessions to support student needs.
• Observe and document student behavior and progress.
• Establish rapport with students, families, and staff to promote positive outcomes.
• Serve as liaison to CMS policies and community programs.
• Implement behavior management plans to improve social skills.
