Job summary

Bergen County Special Services School District is seeking a Behavior Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is 10 months non-certificated and based in a district setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or social sciences; Master's degree preferred.
• Post-baccalaureate training in applied behavior analysis or comparable field preferred.
• Specialized training and/or demonstrate expertise in school based applied behavior analysis.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive formal and informal function behavior assessments.
• Experience working with students with autism/disabilities preferred.
• Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance.
• New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date of hire.
