Georgetown County School District Special Services in Georgetown, South Carolina seeks a Behavior Interventionist (RBHS) to provide a service delivery program focusing on behavior assessment, intervention, and staff development to meet student needs, district goals, and school objectives.

The role requires a Master's in Behavioral health, licensure eligibility, and at least 3 years in child/adolescent social work or clinical counseling, with collaboration among school personnel and families.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related Behavioral Health field from an accredited institution.
• Licensed eligible Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Doctoral Psychologist preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years working in field of social work and/or clinical counseling with children and adolescents.
• Good human relations skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal law pertaining to special education and Medicaid requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school personnel and family to develop an Individual Plan of Care for therapeutic services.
• Provide assessments, behavioral intervention and individual, family and group therapy to identified students.
• Conduct risk assessments as needed when a threat is identified by school personnel.
• Complete RBHS paperwork accurately and timely; participate in in-service trainings and supervision sessions.
• Maintain clinical records per DHHS standards and SC DOE requirements; respond to administration concerns.
