Job summary

Platinum Therapy is seeking a Behavior Coach/Interventionist to provide direct behavioral support to students in a school setting. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to promote positive behavior and social-emotional skills while supporting academic success through evidence-based strategies.

The role requires strong data collection, experience with PBIS/ABA, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with children/adolescents in school, clinical, or community settings preferred.
• Knowledge of PBIS and/or ABA principles is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral support to students individually and in small groups.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and other strategies with fidelity.
• Help students develop self-regulation, coping, communication, and social skills.
• Monitor behavior, collect data, and document interventions and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for consistent supports.
• Support students during classroom instruction, transitions, lunch, recess, etc.
• Assist in crisis prevention and de-escalation using approved techniques.
• Reinforce positive behaviors with evidence-based strategies.
• Participate in team, IEP meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with district/state/federal regulations.
