Job summary

Palmer Public Schools in Palmer, Massachusetts seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a long-term substitute position for one school year. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the BCBA will provide consultative and evaluative behavior supports within the school setting.

Responsibilities include conducting FBAs, developing and training staff on BIPs, collaborating with teachers, families, and the TEAM, and ensuring data collection and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field is required.
• BCBA certification and MA licensure required.
• Experience in school settings and with diverse students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to individual students, classroom teachers and educational assistants.
• Complete functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Train staff to implement recommendations and model best practices.
• Collaborate with TEAM, families, and school personnel to support students.
• Develop and monitor IEP goals and objectives.
• Attend TEAM meetings and provide documentation.
• Ensure that all methodologies are evidence-based and reflect current research.
• Support transition planning between elementary, middle, and high school.
