Job summary

Andover Public Schools seeks a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join the SSP at Doherty Middle School. The role involves supporting students with emotional/behavioral needs within an inclusion framework, under multidisciplinary supervision and with a focus on functional behavior assessments and individualized interventions.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a Sp.Ed. teacher, school psychologist, social work staff, and nursing to implement case management and skill-building

Qualifications

• Master's degree with emphasis in ABA, Psychology, Sp.Ed. or related field.
• BCBA Certification through the BACB.
• MA State Licensure as an Applied Behavior Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement programmatic protocol, such as case reviews, referrals, entry meetings with parents and staff, etc.
• Organize and maintain student information associated with each SSP student, including needs tracking forms and data collection.
• Provide continuous teacher and staff consultation to promote inclusion of students in the general education setting.
• Provide push-in, in-class support for students.
• Design classroom-based interventions, and training for general staff to promote in-class functioning.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) for students.
• Create BIPs for students.
• Use progress monitoring tools to measure progress towards goals.
• Provide skills-building interventions for students.

Education

Master's degree (ABA/Psychology/Sp.Ed. or related field)

BCBA Certification

MA State Licensure as an Applied Behavior Analyst
