Job summary

Jenks Public Schools is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students with autism and related developmental disabilities. The role involves implementing behavior interventions under ABA supervision, collecting data, and assisting with IEP-based plans in a 9-month classified hourly position.

The incumbent will work under BCBA direction to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols, maintaining confidentiality and safety in all settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred in behavioral health.
• Registered Behavior Technician Training.
• 3–5 years of experience providing behavioral support.
• Satisfy ESSA requirements: 2 years of study, associate degree or higher, or related credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group behavior supports and interventions under ABA guidance.
• Use intensive teaching and environmental behavior interventions.
• Follow BCBA guidance and prescribed data collection procedures.
• Record data on observable student behavior and summarize results.
• Assist with IEP/BISP training and communicate progress to staff.
• Collaborate with IEP team, parents, and outside professionals.
