Job summary

Great Prairie Area Education Agency has an opening for an Audiologist at the Fairfield Office. The role focuses on coordinating hearing conservation services, identifying and evaluating children from birth to 21 within assigned districts, and collaborating to support inclusive programming.

The audiologist will conduct screenings, evaluations, and provide recommendations for services, with emphasis on early detection, intervention, and family support.

Qualifications

• Must have a master’s or doctorate degree in audiology and the appropriate license or BOEE certification.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills and cooperative teamwork.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic screening programs for identifying hearing loss.
• Perform diagnostic and rehabilitative evaluations for children with hearing concerns.
• Educate staff, parents, and the community on early detection and intervention.
• Coordinate EDHI newborn hearing screening activities and recommendations.
• Provide follow-up services and referrals in collaboration with health professionals.
