Job summary

Easterseals Midwest in Missouri provides audiology services across clinic locations for individuals of all ages, ensuring care aligns with organizational standards.

Evaluations of hearing, fitting of hearing devices, and follow-up care are performed; the role also includes supervising student clinicians and participating in community education events.

The position requires AuD and state licensure (or within 90 days) with flexibility to travel between sites and drive as needed.

Job description

The Audiologist provides audiology services in clinic locations for individuals of all ages. Ensures services meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements and accreditation standards.

Essential Functions

• Evaluates hearing sensitivity and acuity using appropriate evidence-based procedures.
• Provides management, consultation, and follow-up recommendations for individuals demonstrating disorders in auditory communication.
• Selects, orders, and fits individuals with appropriate ear mold(s), hearing aid(s), or assistive technology.
• Serves as a supervisor for student clinicians.
• Participates in local health fairs and community education seminars.
• Produces written reports and maintains appropriate chart notes on all individuals within the same day of service.
• Monitors accuracy and completeness of files. Maintains accurate and complete records in the electronic medical record.
• Extensive knowledge of audiology and best practices for assessments and treatments. Able to analyze information, develop effective plans and modify plans as needed.
• Able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
• Establishes and maintains successful interpersonal relationships and works cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to work independently to achieve goals.
• Knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of hearing aid programming software.
